Job Description
As a Vegetable Packer, you will be responsible for sorting, grading, packing, and preparing fresh produce for distribution. You will also help with basic farming tasks such as planting, harvesting, and maintaining crop quality. No prior experience or educational credentials are required—full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Grade and sort vegetables by size, shape, and color
- Hand-harvest and pack fresh produce
- Clean and maintain work areas and equipment
- Operate basic farm machinery (training provided)
- Assist in planting, seeding, irrigating, and fertilizing crops
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety
Requirements:
- No formal education or experience required – will train
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada (no sponsorship available)
- Ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs) and perform repetitive tasks
- Basic English communication skills
- Reliable transportation to the work site
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working in various weather and farm conditions
