About the job in TMF Group

Through client management, support, and examining all bookkeeping and cash management tasks, this position will help the manager of the Accounting & Tax team to preserve positive relationships with clients. The manager of the accounting and tax department will be in charge of this role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES in TMF Group

• Read the monthly reports, including all financial reporting and specific diary entries.
• Directly communicate and collaborate on any accounting worries with the client’s worldwide comparable.
• In charge of developing, studying, and receiving bills.
• Examine the specific requirements of the consumer and offer a solution.
• Interact with clients’ auditors.
• Help the manager or senior manager develop their business.
• Manages a client portfolio for the team. 
• Determines and develops Accountants and Senior Accountants.

JOB SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

• At least five years of relevant experience in accounting and tax firms or outsourcing vendors.
• A strong background in accounting and tax, particularly in the areas of journal entry, bookkeeping, monthly and annual closing responsibilities, monthly report preparation, and staff expense.
• Familiarity with local accounting procedures in Japan; independence and the capacity to meet deadlines.
• Outstanding interpersonal, team management, and client service abilities.
• Excellent Microsoft application proficiency (e.g., Vlookup, IF, Pivot for Excel).
• Skilled in accounting software, such as Money Forward, NetSuite, Obic-7, Company, SAP, and PeopleSoft.
• Business-level Japanese and English oral and written communication.
• A Japanese CPA or tax accountant would be highly recommended.
