Cashier Responsibilities:

• Greeting customers and assisting them with their purchases
• Operating cash registers and handling cash transactions accurately
• Scanning and bagging items for customers
• Ensuring that correct prices and discounts are apply to purchases.
• Maintaining clean and organized checkout areas
• Handling customer inquiries and resolving any issues or complaints.
• Collaborating with the team to provide exceptional service to customers.
• Cashes checks and accepts payment for dues and charges to accounts.
• Accepts and processes new membership applications.
• May work an uncommon tour of duty to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Cashier Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in retail or customer service preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in basic math calculations
• Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
