About Broken Hill

Broken Hill, an energetic regional town in far west New South Wales, Australia, is a true “Oasis in the Outback” and is full of diversity, history, and character. Broken Hill, the first city in Australia to be listed on the National Heritage List, is a town with an extensive art culture and over 20 galleries! Tourists come from all over because of the distinctive attractions, festivals, and stunning natural landscapes, but those who stay immediately fall in love with the location and its live ability.

Broken Hill, a city with a population of just under 20,000, is also small enough to maintain a laid-back country lifestyle yet big enough to offer all the amenities of a regional hub, like large supermarkets and grocery stores, excellent schools (7 primary & 2 high), many gyms & aquatic facilities, well-known fast food franchises, and a wealth of joint restaurants, pubs, and cafés.
