We are currently hiring an experienced Civil Foreman to oversee and manage the finishing phases of our civil construction projects. The successful candidate will supervise day-to-day operations on-site, lead teams of skilled workers, and coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure that all finishing work—such as painting, plastering, tiling, flooring, and cabinetry—is completed on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Coordination: Work closely with the projecmanager to align with schedules, budget, and project specifications. Facilitate communication between subcontractors, suppliers, and teams.
- Team Leadership: Supervise a team of finishing tradespeople (e.g., carpenters, painters, electricians). Assign daily tasks, provide technical guidance, and ensure productivity.
- Resource Management: Allocate labor, tools, equipment, and materials efficiently. Monitor usage to stay within budget.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect finishing works regularly. Ensure all activities meet design specifications, building codes, and internal quality standards.
- Safety Compliance: Promote site safety. Conduct toolbox talks, enforce PPE use, and ensure adherence to local safety regulations.
- Progress Monitoring: Track daily progress, report to the project manager, and maintain logs of work completed, hours worked, and materials used.
- Problem Solving: Address and resolve site issues quickly and effectively. Collaborate with engineers and subcontractors to maintain momentum.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation, including daily reports, incident logs, and inspection records.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field (required)
- 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in a supervisory role within civil construction, especially finishing works
- In-depth knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and relevant codes
- Proven leadership and team coordination abilities
- Strong understanding of job site safety protocols and compliance standards
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans
- Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite
Work Environment & Schedule:
- May include extended hours, weekends, or shifts based on project needs
- Must be able to work on-site under varied weather and environmental conditions.
