Sunrise Berries Limited is hiring a temporary farm worker to assist with essential weather-dependent support tasks. This role focuses exclusively on rural contracting activities – no work with crops (planting, maintaining, or harvesting) is involved.
Pay & Employment Details
- Pay Rate: $25 – $27 per hour (based on skills and experience)
- Employment Type:Â up to 9 months (Fixed-term)
- Hours:Â Minimum 30 hours per week
- Location:Â 20 Aitken Road, Onewhero, Waikato
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with operation of farm equipment or machinery for field and property maintenance
- Assist with repairs and maintenance on farm infrastructure (fences, drainage systems)
- Help prepare fields using approved methods (no direct crop contact)
- Transport farm materials and equipment as needed
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Follow all health and safety protocols
- Weather-Dependent Work:
- Work scheduled around suitable field conditions
- Priority tasks after weather events (e.g., drainage repairs post-rain)
- Schedule changes based on daily forecasts
