About the Role:

As a Room Checker, you will play a key role in maintaining the high standards of Park Hyatt Melbourne’s Housekeeping Department. Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager, you will be responsible for supervising and training staff, ensuring all guest rooms meet Hyatt’s luxury standards, and supporting the team in delivering a seamless experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to guest requests for room amenities and services.
  • Record and track VIP activities, guest preferences, and housekeeping tasks.
  • Manage Lost & Found items, ensuring proper documentation and retrieval.
  • Utilize department software for creating reports, logs, and inventory checks.
  • Maintain records for scheduled deep cleaning, including carpet shampooing, brass polishing, mattress turning, and drapery care.
  • Conduct monthly inventory checks on housekeeping supplies and equipment.
  • Ensure all reported lost or damaged items are properly recorded and processed.
  • Greet and assist guests, addressing any special requests with professionalism.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous Housekeeping experience in a luxury hotel (4- or 5-star preferred) or a fast-paced cleaning services environment.
  • Strong organizational & multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills with fluency in English.
  • Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • A commitment to superior customer service and upholding Hyatt’s standards.
  • Impeccable grooming and a professional appearance.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
