Key Responsibilities of Maintenance Worker:

• Perform skilled maintenance and repair work on buildings, equipment, and facilities.
• Conduct inspections to identify maintenance needs and report findings.
• Install, maintain, and repair plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Operate and maintain hand and power tools and equipment.
• Assist with snow removal and other seasonal maintenance tasks.
• Follow all health and safety regulations and government policies.
• This position is primarily responsible to provide support to the solid waste program including the operation of a garbage truck.
• Other duties can include grounds maintenance, repair, and labor services to support road maintenance operations.

Requirements for Maintenance Worker:

• Previous experience as a Maintenance Worker II or in a similar role.
• Experience in the operation of power tools such as lawn mowers and weed eaters.
• Experience in grounds maintenance.
• Experience In road maintenance.
• Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
• Knowledge of building systems, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
