Packaging Sales Specialist in Canada

The packaging sales specialist is responsible for driving sales of packaging products and solutions to new and existing customers. They will develop and maintain relationships with key accounts, understand customer needs, and recommend appropriate packaging solutions. The role requires strong sales and negotiation skills, a deep understanding of packaging materials and processes, and the ability to work independently to meet sales targets. Responsibilities of Packaging Sales Specialist:

  • Promote the sales of Variable Frequency Drives and Electric Motors within the scope of key pro-jects and packaging in regionally relevant industry segments.
  • Leading the development and implementation of the account plan and growth actions.
  • Implement 360o coverage of project opportunities including proactive Engineering procurement and Construction (EPC) and consultant coverage.
  • Create, implement, and execute sales and account strategy to meet and exceed regional sales targets for projects and packaging.
  • Work collaboratively with regional front-end Sales teams to ensure coverage of distribution and/or OEM channel opportunities related to key project/packaging pursuits.
  • Monitoring, market trend and competitor activity and ensuring appropriate action is taken.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships at all levels with key customers as well as market influencers, consultants and EPCs.
  • Develop and support synergies with other ABB business lines and develop joint pursuits to leverage existing ABB customer relationships.

Requirements for Packaging Sales Specialist:

  • Proven track record in sales, sales management or strategic business development (10 years+).
  • Demonstrated experience in management of customer accounts and sales strategy.
  • Knowledge and experience with CRM platforms, salesforce a plus.
  • A collaborative, solution-focused approach, with strong communication and customer relationship-building skills.
  • Applicable regional industry knowledge and experience in mining, Chemical Oil and gas essential – additional experience in Ports and terminals, Pulp and paper and marine a plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 40% with Western region (Occasional national travel).
