Production Coordinator – NUQ Job in Qatar

Responsibilities: 

• Manages day-to-day administrative operations.
• Ensures that program/project mission, values, guidelines, policies & procedures are  
• Based on analysis, research, &/or knowledge of subject matter, professional field &/or topic, prepares & compiles correspondence, reports, etc. 
• Creates &/or maintains complex spreadsheets &/or databases &/or reports, queries, charts, etc., based on the supervisor’s information objectives.
• Administers budgets for awards &/or the dept which may include approving purchases, reimbursements &/or orders.
• Creates & monitors budget statements.
• Resolves discrepancies &/or outstanding encumbrances. 
• Coordinates with vendors and other NU units all the department’s incoming shipments and RMA.
• Represent the dept, program or project with various levels of personnel both internally & externally, managing & facilitating confidential &/or critical information.
• Manages complex scheduling arrangements involving multiple parties & conferences, international travel, etc. 
• Coordinates large scale &/or complex events.
• Coordinates and assists with student worker recruitment.
• Reviews & prioritizes applications.
• Refers students to appropriate resources.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor’s or higher degree; OR appropriate combination of education and experience
• 2 years of administrative support or other relevant experience required.
• A minimum of 1 year of related professional experience in the media industry with demonstrated knowledge of production equipment, environment and related facilities.
• Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to take initiative and work independently.
• Advanced knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and database software programs is required.
• Fluency in English language 
• Ability to lift/move equipment up to 20 kg.

Preferred Qualifications and Competencies:

• 2-3 years of related professional experience in the media industry.
• Knowledge of camera, lighting and sound equipment. 
• Knowledge of audio/video software (Adobe, DaVinci Resolve, ProTools) practices.
• Knowledge of a Production environment and facilities related to production. 
• Ability to maintain respectful and effective working relationships with a variety of parties throughout the University community. 
• Ability to move/lift equipment when necessary. 
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
• Experience working in a higher education environment.
