As a Farm Hand, you’ll play an essential role in crop management and machinery operation, contributing to the smooth running of our operations. Responsibilities
- Crop Management: Assist with all aspects of crop growing, including planting, irrigation, and fertilization to ensure healthy, high-yield crops.
- Machinery Operation: Operate and maintain a variety of farm machinery, including self-propelled sprayers, to ensure maximum efficiency and safety.
- Team Collaboration: Lead by example and assist in mentoring junior team members, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and farm infrastructure, ensuring everything is in good working order.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records related to spraying, machinery usage, and maintenance for operational efficiency and compliance.
Who We Are Looking For
- Experience: At least 2 years in a similar role within the farming or agricultural industry.
- Skills: Basic mechanical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair farm equipment.
- Organisation: Strong time management and organisational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Safety Commitment: A solid understanding of farming safety standards and best practices.
- Tech Knowledge: Familiarity with GPS farming systems (e.g., Greenstar) is an advantage.
- Team Player: Positive attitude with the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Reliability: Honest, hardworking, and passionate about agriculture.
