We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced General Labourer to support the Facilities and Maintenance team at the CN Tower. This role is critical in ensuring a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for guests, staff, and visitors by assisting with general physical labour tasks that do not require certified trades expertise. Reporting to the Manager, Facilities and Maintenance, you will work closely with supervisors and various tradespeople. The work schedule for this position is subject to change based on operational needs, and may include shift work, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily structured maintenance tasks as assigned
- Assist in drywalling, painting, plastering, and patching
- Support minor construction and repair projects
- Conduct general building repairs as needed
- Assist certified tradespeople with various tasks
- Supervise and coordinate with external labour service providers
- Maintain compliance with company policies and safety procedures
- Complete other maintenance duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in general building maintenance or a similar role
- Knowledge of common building tools and materials
- Hands-on experience with drywalling, plastering, taping, and painting
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to dust, dirt, noise, odors, and varying temperatures
- Medium physical demands, including standing, walking, and occasional lifting of heavy objects
- Required to wear company-issued uniforms in accordance with dress code policy
- Rotating shifts may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime
