Responsibilities of Marin Electrician:

  • Master understanding of production and processes.
  • Responsible for interfacing with customers, managing subcontractors and ability to provide work direction to others. May provide direction and lead others.
  • May manage one or more multiple jobs. Completes comprehension of specialty trades functions and tools. Performs a variety of complicated and non-routine tasks.
  • Develops and uses technical documents including controlled work packages, formal work processes and procedures, test documents, reports and task or trip reports.
  • Schedules, reports and briefs customers and senior management. May perform quality inspections on finished product. Performs duties outside of specialty in order to complete installation or work assignment.

Requirements for Marine Electrician:

  • ​​​​High School education, or Trade School or equivalent, and 6 years of related experience.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
  • Must have experience as a shipboard marine electrical trade’s specialty with 6 or more years of shipboard maintenance and repair experience.
  • Must be able to read and interpret equipment and systems ship drawings and ship technical documents and manuals.
  • Must be competent in the use of electrical/mechanical equipment and tools in corrective repair efforts in order to accomplish ship repairs.
  • Must provide own hand tools as designated per trades specialty.
  • Must be physically able to climb and work on ships in an industrial environment. 
  • Start date contingent upon approved CAC ID base access, which are required for this position and continued employment.
