About the job
Performs all store Teams’ receiving, accounting, and distribution tasks associated with incoming product deliveries. All sales positions at Whole Foods Market require maintaining an excellent company image by regularly providing customers and Team Members polite, useful, and efficient service. All positions must be performed in compliance with the team’s and the store’s SOPs. In addition, Team Members must be able to fulfilling the duties included in other Team Member job descriptions. Every position must work in accordance with WFM’s fundamental tenets and goals, promote store, national, and regional programmes, and maintain adherence to all relevant health and safety laws, including the Food Safety and regulatory duties required in the department.
Job Responsibilities in Whole Foods Market
• Verify supplier documents and real product against Purchase Orders.
Verify product integrity
And if necessary, check the temperatures of the products.
• Processes, files, initials, and stamps invoices.
• When needed, distributes copies of invoices to the appropriate teams.
• Follows the Whole Foods Market’s correct payment procedures
• Closes purchase orders appropriately in the exclusive store purchasing application.
• Follows and satisfies the Store Process’s specified Receiving requirements.
• Distributes copies of completed papers to the regional office and Team mailboxes.
• Maintains contact with vendors regarding payments due.
• Assists product teams with accounting duties during the closing of the financial and inventory seasons.
• Providing Store Leadership with copy of all store expense payments.
• Keeps the compactor, baler, and all other environmental areas in excellent working order; ties bales, orders can pick-up, and directs the service team for problem spots.
Job Skills
• Comprehensive knowledge of store accounting, distribution, and receiving practises and policies.
• An understanding of how to apply the WFM quality goals, food handling, safety, and other demands.
• The ability to convey passion and instruct the team on the product.
• Knowledge and proficiency in applying software like Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and IRMA.

Experience
• 12 months or more retail experience.
• 12+ months working in a distribution or receiving related environment preferred.
Physical Requirements
• Capable of pulling 50 pounds.
• 6–8 hours of standing or walking through an 8-hour workday.
• Single grasping, precise manipulation, pushing, and pulling using your fingers. The following motions are required for work: bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
• Exposure to cleaning agents with FDA approval.
• Exposure to freezing (below 32 degrees Fahrenheit), hot (over 90 degrees Fahrenheit), and refrigerated temperatures.
• The ability for operation in a cold and wet environment.
• The capacity to work shifts that could involve nights, weekends, and holidays.
• The ability to handle heavy machinery such as balers, electric pallet jacks, forklifts, hand trucks, six-wheel carts, and box cutters.
