About you

Senior management is supportive of this work, which entails providing nursing support to the entire team. There is also an expectation that you will occasionally be available to offer advise and input to other areas as well as after-hours help. We make a terrific team to work with because we are dependable, genuinely, and knowledge to learn new things so we can give outstanding care. In a mental health context, the clinical nurse specialist will act as an example of expert mental health nursing care based on strong theoretical knowledge and work together with nursing colleagues to continually enhance their practice. Further, you will contribute to maintaining the clinical expertise of the team’s continuing the development.

We are searching for a positive, self-assured registered nurse who has the passion and desire to inspire colleagues and involve them in their clinical growth. You will be an acknowledged leader in your field and a superb team player with excellent communication skills.

The selected applicant will have achieved Level Four (expert) on the Southern District Health Board Professional Development program, or be working toward it. In addition to your nursing qualifications, you will additionally possess postgraduate training (related to mental health), preferably a master’s degree (or work in progress).
