Responsibilities of Groomer Driver:

• Operate grooming machinery, such as snowcats or snow groomers, to groom and maintain ski slopes and trails.
• Inspect slopes for hazards and inconsistencies, using grooming equipment to smooth out terrain and distribute snow evenly.
• Monitor snow quality and adjust grooming techniques and equipment settings as needed to achieve desired snow conditions.
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of guests and staff during grooming operations.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on grooming equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and other resort staff regarding grooming activities and slope conditions.

Requirements for Job:

• Previous experience operating grooming equipment or similar heavy machinery preferred.
• Familiarity with snow grooming techniques, equipment operation, and slope maintenance practices.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, especially during peak ski season.
• Safety-conscious mindset and commitment to adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
• A Valid New Zealand drivers’ license with a Wheels and Tracks endorsement is necessary.
