Responsibilities of Latest Waiters:

• Greeting guests warmly upon arrival and escorting them to their table.
• Deliver a high level of service to meet and exceed our guests’ expectations.
• Great communication skills to interact with both guests (recommending dishes and drink pairings) and coworkers (relaying orders and requests).
• Have full availability and flexibility to work a rotating 7-day roster including split shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Presenting menus and providing detailed information on menu items, specials, and beverage options.
• Taking accurate food and beverage orders and entering them into the system promptly.
• Serving food and drinks to guests in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met.
• Checking in with guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
• Anticipating guests’ needs and proactively offering assistance and recommendations.
• Processing payments and handling cash and card transactions accurately.
• Collaborating effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service flow.
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining area and assisting with basic cleaning tasks as needed.
• Adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards to ensure the well-being of our guests.

Requirements for Latest Waiters:

• Prior experience as a waiter/waitress or in a similar customer service role preferred.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing high-quality service.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Knowledge of food and beverage service procedures and etiquette.
• Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., LCQ) preferred but not required.
• Legal eligibility to work in New Zealand.
